Great food and atmosphere but it's slow service.

Pleasant high-end southern comfort food restaurant, we liked the gumbo and the Brussels sprouts. Happy to open the wine you brought yourself, corkage fee was waived thanks to a voucher from our hotel. Seating was a bit suboptimal on the side of the line of guests waiting to be seated.

Excellent food, a little pricey but very tasty. I did have an issue while using the restroom as the hostess felt the need to open the bathroom door while I was in there. She knocked on the door and I of course ignored it as a common irritation but then she unlocked the door and opened it. I gave her a dirty look as I left. I considered calling the manager.

Calistoga is full of wonderful places and this is one of them. This restaurant is absolutely beautiful and perfect place for a romantic dinner within a mile or walking distance from the nearby Inns. The staff are always on top of everything with excellent customer service. The aged steak I ordered was way better than expected. If I start dating this place will be on my list lol.

Food was great. Bar service just ok. The hostess was horrible. No one checked on us for our entire meal. Will be contacting the owner.

Seems like the kind of place that must have been good at some point but is now riding their reputation into the ground and fleecing tourists as much as possible along the way. The $28 mushroom risotto was not much more than a sad pile of soggy unflavored rice and the salmon was overcooked and drier than the turkey from Christmas Vacation. We left feeling robbed and shaking our heads, figuring that this place stays in business only because of one-time visits by the area's perpetually fresh supply of tourists and definitely not because of repeat customers.

The type of meal you say a prayer for before eating. The perfect Grilled Salmon, fresh chicory salad, fuji apple, mustard vinaigrette ❤️Wished for more variety on the charcuterie board.

Excellent lunch! Chilled corn soup was outstanding and my burger was excellent. Sadly the French fries were just okay but it gets enjoyed the meals as well.

The crab cake appetizer was amazing but the mussels and duck confit entrees were just so so. Overrated / overpriced? I guess I need to take into account that it's touristy Calistoga:)

Excellent scene for Creole. Honestly my favorite evening place. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Bring your appetite because portions are filling.

Great place for a dinner. Great food and friendly people. Dark and romantic.. Somewhat small inside with a dark pleasing atmosphere it also has a nice outside area, bring a coat on colder evenings 👍👍

Great service and delicious food!

Was an awesome experience. Came up from the east bay for a night out and landed here. Was running behind in our reservation, but the hostess made sure we were able to get in and worked it out. She was friendly and accommodating and my husband and I just appreciated it. Food was great, service was prompt. Highly recommended 👍🏼

Just an average place. Look for a different place. There are many much better places out there. The first and most important thing about this restaurant. They sell a $75 steak special, and they are serving it with french fries. When asked if you could substitute for something else.... the answer is no. The chef paired it with french fries, so it can't be substituted. The chef needs to realize that people that drink 200...300 dollar wine don't want french fries. They want a sophisticated meal. The duck confit with prunes was about 4 stars, so it was good. The zucchini squash mixture with the burrata was terrible. The burrata itself was good. They charged me 20 dollars for corkage after the waiter snapped the cork in half.... had to "salvage" the wine... and we had to drink $250 dollar bottle of vino with cork floating in it. Overall, the place is close to 2... but i will give them 3 to be nice.

No reservation, seated right away on a Saturday night. Salad starters were great. Gumbo on the spicy side and shrimp etouffee were delicious. Selection for wines by glass was notably small, would have liked more options with more reasonable prices. We were happy that it was not a loud place with nice atmosphere. We enjoyed our time and will come back.

Fried chicken special is to die for, so is the squash soup.

Honestly one of the most wonderful people on earth. I have stumble upon them last year with my brother when I was visiting through town. I remember how good everything tasted and I wanted to come back the following year. I actually used some of the photos that I took from the place to locate it back since it was very hard to remember. This year I went with my fiancé and I wanted to surprise her but I was not aware of their hours of operation. Fortunately for us the owner heard our story and that we travel all the way from San Francisco and he opened the restaurant specially for us a little bit before schedule. He didn’t have to do it but the fact that he did it meant the world to us. This is the kind of people that serve you food with joy happiness and it makes the whole experience so much more elevated. I can’t recommend enough the people who work there, they are fantastic and the food is out of this world. You have to try it trust me.

When we arrived for our reservation, the host/manager motioned us to our table. We were greeted warmly by our waitress who indicated she was new so she would have the manager come over to answer our questions about the wine list. A half hour later, we asked again and he finally arrived. We ordered dishes to share but the portions were minimal; for instance, the pasta entree had three large noodles. The food was delicious but price was not comparable such that we left hungry and very disappointed. Our meal the night before at Sams club was the same cost, great atmosphere, and left us very satisfied.

Outstanding service, great ambiance and the food is amazing. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars, just order the Lobser rissoto and thank me later. The depth of flavor in that dish is beyond words. Pork shoulder is great but the risotto is better. Winner winner lobster dinner.

Try and get a table outside if you're looking for a more romantic setting for dinner. The food was tasty yet some dishes were more American than French but I guess we're in California so to be expected!

We arrived at this place for lunch. we heard about this place from quite a few people. Well, it was very successful. we were warmly welcomed by the staff members and we had a great feeling. The meal was tasty. We enjoyed every moment and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Keep it up.

Sunday brunch was fantastic. Wife had superb chicken and waffles while I had the best shrimp and grits I've had anywhere (including in FL and LA where this is a staple)

Genuinely friendly and fast service. Outdoor covered patio was fine even in the rain just lacking the ambience of the main restaurant itself; there are heaters. Food was good but not exceptional.

We came to this spot for lunch. my friend recommended this spot. Well, it was very nice. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Recommended.

I came here for NYE dinner, and I could not believe the caliber of the food here for the price. I went with a group of 4 and we all enjoyed a three course menu, so naturally we all tried to order different dishes so we could taste everything. EVERY SINGLE DISH was so masterfully made and delicious. This place is totally worth a visit!

We so enjoyed our anniversary celebration while dining outside at Evangeline's. The cheese board was a great appetizer. Our drinks were crafted perfectly and beautifully served. My Alaskan halibut was delightfully prepared. Indeed, a special night.

Exquisitely presented spectrum of great wines and food (with a Louisiana accent). Love every minute I spend here. Very knowledgeable wait staff; just show up, they'll take care of you.

Service was great (my water cup never went empty). We never felt pressured but everything was prompt and attentive. Food was awesome - built my own main but combining firsts (sausage, Brussels and potatoes). We also had the chicken. I felt it would be better as a turkey but the chicken was awesome. :)The moose was tasty as a desert.

I really would have liked to try this restaurant, but after being seated and provided with water, we waited...and waited...and waited. Even after asking the hostess to see if someone was serving our table, which she did, both a waitress and a manager proceeded to walk right past us and help two tables who had been seated well after us. This was not the hostess' fault. After 25 minutes, we left without anyone acknowledging us. The restaurant was not busy; can't imagine what it's like in a rush. Don't waste your time.

In my opinion one of the more solid places to eat in Calistoga. Great service... clever French/ Creole.... leanings... and done well.

Okay food but poor value, smallish portions on some of the dishes. Many of our dishes came out late on hot plates (indicating they've been sitting underneath a warmer for some time). The duck was good but the steak was tough. The cocktails very hit or miss.

Amazing duck!This is a small French place with an upbeat but cozy feel to it. I’d suggest to seat as far away from the entrance as possible. On a cold night, you’d get a cold draft every time someone walks in (and that’s quite often).
